On December 23, 1942, Bill was born in the little community of Pireway, North Carolina to John Quinton and Alberta Buck Puckett. Bill attended grammar school at the little Barberville School, then onto Pierson for his high school years. Bill married his high school sweetheart Julie. Together they shared 50 happy, loving years. He worked in the medical manufacturing industry before pursuing his dream of growing and marketing cut floral foliage's. Together Bill and Julie, with faith in God and a prayer in their hearts, launched their company, Wm F. Puckett, Inc. Over the years the company grew to be recognized as a major supplier of Cut Floral Foliages. Their products are shipped worldwide. Bill loved hunting. He raised and ran in competition fox hounds through the Southeastern U.S. He is a past President of the Florida State and National Fox Hunters Association. Bill was given the Volusia County Conservator of Land and Water. He is survived by his wife Julie, Brothers, Dale (Lynn), Ronnie (Virginia) and Dennis (Jane). Viewing will be Thursday, July 5th from 6-8pm at Allen-Summerhill Funeral Home in DeLand. Service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Pierson, Friday July 6th at 10am with the Rev.
