Bobbie Schmoele

Bobbie Schmoele, 47, of Springfield, MO passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, surrounded by an amazing crowd of family and loved ones wishing her off on her journey to heaven.

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 3, 1966 to Juanita Catherine Jones and Robert Long. Following her parents' untimely and early deaths she was born into the hearts of Bill and Sharon Ousley when she was fifteen years old. They were so honored to become her parents and she gained five more siblings.

Bobbie graduated from Crest Ridge High School in Centerview, Missouri in 1985. Following graduation, she served in the United States Air Force for six years. It was during her military service that she met the love of her life and best friend, George. They were married in a beautiful ceremony in her parents' home in 1987. They waited ten long years to get Robert, but Lucas and Laura followed soon after.

Bobbie rejoiced in her role as a mother. She home schooled her children and loved them beyond measure. Bobbie was a wonderful cook and her children will miss her chocolate chip pancakes, vegetable beef soup, homemade pizza and taco salad most. Her mother will miss her wonderful help in the kitchen on Thanksgiving and Christmas morning. She loved collecting angels and treasured the hand crocheted ones made by her great great aunt, fondly known as "Auntie". Everyone who knew her will miss her wonderful hugs and words of kindness and encouragement. She loved others more than herself.

Bobbie was a member of Park Crest Baptist Church, actively participating in children's programs and adult and youth ministries. She was a strong witness for God, both through her words and leading by example.

She worked assisting the infirm and elderly at Culpepper Place in Springfield.

She is preceded in death by her parents; grandmother Frankie Pearl Tackett and grandfather Harley Jones, and maternal grandmother Martha Jean Downing.

Bobbie is survived by her husband George J. Schmoele and sons Robert Anthony, 15, Lucas Matthew, 10, daughter Laura Elizabeth, 8, all of the home and parents Bill and Sharon Ousley of Warrensburg, brothers Edgar Jr., Tom and Calvin; sisters Carol, JoAnn, Debbie, Judy, Becky and Marie, mother in law Patsy Schmoele, sister in law Tammy Johnson and brother in law Scott Schmoele. She is also survived by siblings Cathy (Brent) Smith, Crista (Dean) Wille, Cody (Shannon) Smith, CJ (Chad) Shippy and Chelsea Roberts. Tammy Hamblin of Auburndale, Florida, has been her longtime childhood friend and was at her side at her death.

A visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Park Crest Baptist Church, 816 West Republic Rd, Springfield, MO 65807 with services to follow at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Phillip Housley officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery, rural Chilhowee, which is just outside of Warrensburg, Missouri, where she will be next to her beloved grandmother and aunts.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations to be made in honor of Bobbie to the Benevolence Fund at Park Crest Baptist Church.
