Deborah Kay Lambeth

Deborah Kay Lambeth, 72, formerly of Springfield, MO, departed this life on Sunday October 28, 2012, to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, whom she faithfully loved. She was residing in Cairo, MO, with her devoted husband. She joyfully trusted God to the end of her brief battle with aggressive cancer.

Deborah was born October 20, 1940, in Springfield to James and Louise (Ross) Turner. While in Springfield, she was a member of High Street Baptist Church. She served there for many years in the choir, nursery, the women's prayer group, and as the wedding coordinator.

Debbie graduated from Parkview High School in 1958. Debbie married Forrest Lambeth on August 30, 1958, and he survives. Also surviving are: three children, Jennifer Sahmel and husband Gary of Kissimmee, FL, James Forrest Lambeth and wife Julie of Springfield, Jonathan Lambeth and wife Nikki of Lafayette, IN; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Holly, Joshua, Luke, Jenae, David, and Stephen; one great-granddaughter, Riley; three sisters, Mary Hermanski of Nixa, MO, Nancy Hicks and husband Clarence of Springfield, Jimmie Lou Wright and husband Don of Columbia, MO, along with many other loving relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial contributions to the Cairo Baptist Church Youth Building Fund would be appreciated (Cairo Baptist Church, 206 W. Martin, Cairo, MO, 65239).

Services will be Wednesday, 11:00 a.m., at Cater Funeral Home Chapel in Moberly, MO. Committal prayers and interment will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m., at Mt. Comfort Cemetery north of Springfield, MO. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the High Street Baptist Church Chapel.
