Dorothy Goza

Dorothy Helen (Robinson) Goza, daughter of Edward Adley Robinson, Jr. and Fannie Beatrice Lane Riesher, was born July 2, 1913 in Deerfield, MO and passed away July 28, 2013 in the Webco Manor Nursing Home, Marshfield, at the age of 100.

Dorothy married Sam H. Goza on September 18, 1932 and lived in Springfield, MO for several years. To this union one child, Beatrice "Betty" Lou, was born. In 1936 they moved to Marshfield, MO where they lived the remainder of their lives.

Dorothy was a master cake decorator and made many cakes for friend's birthdays and weddings. She also won many blue ribbons in county, state and Ozark fairs for her cakes. Dorothy was a member of the Marshfield United Methodist Church and kept the church nursery for 25 years. For the last twelve years, Dorothy resided at Webco Manor East in Marshfield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam; and her daughter, Betty Sullivan.

Survivors include her son-in-law, James G. Sullivan, Jr.; grandchildren, Sherry L. Menger and her husband, Marek, and Michael Shawn Sullivan and his wife, Sheila; her great grandchildren, Misty L. Morales and her husband, Adam, Matthew M. Menger and his fiance, Elaine, and Sydney N. Sullivan; two great-great grandchildren, Meadow Marie Morales and Milan Isabella Morales.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 3, 2013 in Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. with the Rev. Dwight Gressel officiating. Burial will be in the Marshfield Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Marshfield United Methodist Church, 220 S. Elm, Marshfield, MO 65706.
