Faye Marie Aldridge

Faye Marie Aldridge, 75, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 18, 2014. Faye died after a long illness surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on November 1, 1938 in Cabool, Missouri to Fred and Doris Goforth. She married Bobby Joe Aldridge on July 14, 1956 in Cabool, MO and to this union 3 children were born.

Faye spent most of her life in the Tyrone, MO area. She worked at Rawlings for 25 years. Faye and Bobby relocated to the Springfield area 25 years ago and for the past 10 years, she worked for Billy Long and the Bobby Kohlmeier Auction Service.

Surviving is her husband of 58 years, Bobby Aldridge; 3 children, Brenda Clinton and husband Donnie of Republic, MO, Linda Rider and husband Johnny of Cleburne, TX and Robert Aldridge of Springfield; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Doyle Goforth and wife Marie of Salem, MO, Freda Kell and husband Bobbie of Raymondville, MO, Cleta McKinney of Houston, MO, Deloris Haney and husband Harold of Arnold, MO, DeWayne Goforth o Houston, MO, Vera Byse and husband Roy of Tyrone, MO, Trish Neugebauer and husband Lonnie of Houston, MO, Donnie Goforth and wife, Misty of Cabool, MO.

Faye enjoyed her life. She loved her family, enjoyed stock car races, baseball, arranging flowers and doing crafts. Faye will be remembered as the lady with the big giving heart and the lady who wore the big shoe.

The family is grateful to the special nurses and aides on the 7th floor at mercy Hospital who gave Faye such tender care, love and compassion.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 12-2 PM with funeral services at 2 PM in Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens
