Her early years were spent on the family farm located in what is now south Springfield. She attended Plainview School and Nixa High School, graduating in 1946. Later, she worked in the installment loans department at Union National Bank on the square in Springfield. There she met her husband, Don, and they were married June 4, 1949. Later, she worked a short time at Maplewood Gardens for her son, Don Jr. Her hobbies included gardening, canning, reading, crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy. She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed collecting cookbooks and trying recipes. She especially enjoyed mowing her yard with her riding lawnmower and working outdoors. Central Christian Church was her church of choice for over sixty years. She served as a deacon and for thirty years, volunteered in the nursery which she described as the best job at the church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially reading to her grand and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don Fesperman; sons, Don Jr. and Stephen; brother, Bill McCroskey; and a granddaughter, Shannon Fesperman.
She is survived by a loving and supportive family including her daughters, Debra Agee and her husband, David, of Pleasant Hope, MO, and Jennifer Ewert and her husband, Dick Muller, of Jackson, MO; a daughter-in-law, Patti (Fesperman) Gamm; nine grandchildren, Jason Fesperman, Stacy Reese (Eric), Jessica Tollison (Brian), Alicia Idell, Jared Agee (Tamara), Heather Zoromski (Nathan), Will Fesperman, Adam Ewert (Julie), and Jacob Agee (Tamra); 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Covey (Paul) of Stockton, CA; a sister-in-law, Nancy McCroskey of Ozark, MO; and a host of other family and friends.

Sorry for your loss. I never met Mrs. Fesperman, but felt like I knew her. I passed their house for 45 years on my way to Springfield. I seen them both, Mr. and Mrs. out in the yard. After she loss him, my heart went out to her as I watched her doing her yard work, riding the mower. I enjoyed her flowers in bloom. No I never met her but I will miss her.
