James Bradley (Brad) Welborn Obituary
James Bradley (Brad) Welborn

On Monday, October 28, 2019, James Bradley (Brad) Welborn, devoted husband, loving father of three children, and passionate Papa of eight, passed away peacefully at age 72. He was born on January 8, 1947 in Danville, Kentucky to James F. Welborn and Juanita A. Welborn (Wash).

After moving to Fort Myers, Florida in 1964, he married Susan Beverley Morehouse on June 15,1968. They raised three children, Bradley (Kelly), Matthew (Kelly) and Leslie (Matthew). He will be cherished by his eight grandchildren, Scott, Reece, Katie, Ella, Campbell, Lila, Lily, and Zachary, in which he found the most joy. He is also survived by his brother James F. Welborn and sister Brenda G. Massad.

As a Commercial Real Estate Broker, Brad held the CCIM designation as a recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. He was proud to have been a RE/MAX Company Realtor for 22 years. Brad served as the President of the Alliance of Florida Business Brokers and was a charter officer of Commercial Investment Professionals (CIP) of Southwest Florida.

Brad was an avid reader and always could be found with a book in his hand and another to pass along. He enjoyed golfing and loved spending time with family. Brad's friendly smile and kind heart never found a stranger. One of his greatest legacies will be his grandchildren. He was an encouraging grandfather, always generous and selfless, giving the individual attention and affection they will forever cherish from their Papa.

Celebration of Life will be held at New Hope Presbyterian Church (10051 Plantation Rd., Fort Myers) on Friday, November 8th at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Moffitt Cancer Center.
