Petoskey, MI - Julia (Julie) Marie Bailey (Katz), 66, passed away peacefully on October 22nd, 2019 in her home in Petoskey, MI. She was born on April 14th, 1953 at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina to Joseph and Rachel Katz. Joseph predeceased her in October 2017 and she is survived by her mother Rachel. Julie was not interested in the material things in life and had a passion for sewing and the outdoors. She was a devout Catholic who had a great love for Our Lord and Blessed Mother.

Julie is survived by her 4 children and 9 grandchildren. Her son Tony Gnatkowski and his children Caitlin, Coty and Casey, her daughter Rachel Smith and her children Julia, Quenton and Logan, her daughter Amy Larsen and spouse Eric and their children Ashlyn, Jaden and Brooklyn, and her son James Henris.

Julie was the oldest of Joe and Rachel's 10 children. Her siblings are Dan, Joe, Richard, John (deceased), Tim, Anne, Peter, Matthew and Mary. She was aunt and great aunt to more than 60 children.

There will be a mass held on Saturday, November 2nd, 2019 at 9am at Our Lady Queen of Angels Chapel, 376 Prospect Ave, Fort Myers, FL, 33905. Following the mass there will be a burial service at Alva Cemetery on Cemetery Rd.

Memorial donations may be sent in Julie's name to Our Lady Queen of Angels Chapel. Please send to PO Box 50039, Fort Myers, FL, 33994.
