Fort Myers - Norman Lee Mohr, 82, a Ft. Myers, FL resident since 1971, formerly of Tiffin, OH, passed away from injuries of a recent fall, on May 14, 2018 in Lee Memorial Hospital surrounded by family. He was born March 24, 1936 in Republic, OH to Willard & Frances Mohr. His parents & brother Paul Mohr, preceded him in death.

Norman was a US Navy Veteran & a Life Member of Optimist International. He was a vocalist & played sports during high school. Upon graduation from Bowling Green State University, he was a respected teacher & coach for several years, prior to becoming the owner of MasterKleen of Lee County. Norm then retired from Lee County Schools.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Lillian Faye (Halcomb) Mohr; daughters, Elaine Hambling (Chuck) of Cape Coral, FL, Leigh Byer (Paul) of Ft. Myers, Tracy Rummans (John) of N. Ft. Myers, & Vickie DeArmond (Julio Cruz) of Ft. Myers; one sister, Janice Mohr of Okeechobee, FL; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Fri., May 18 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, and Sat., May 19 from 10-11 AM. Funeral Service and celebration of life will be held 11 AM, Sat., May 19. All events held at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens. Interment & Military Honors will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, (PO Box 50008, Studio City, CA 91614-5001), which funds programs to benefit active military, veterans, Goldstar families & first responders, in memory of Norman Mohr.
