Julian Campbell Obituary
SILER CITY — Julian Welford Campbell, 92, of 1716 Legion Road, Chapel Hill, formerly of 1634 White Smith Road, Siler City, died Friday, January 30, 2009, at Britthaven of Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 2, at Sapling Ridge United Methodist Church, 5016 Silk Hope-Gum Spring Road, Pittsboro, with Rev. M. Brian Welborne, Rev. Paul Edwards and Randy Martinez officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Campbell was born January 6, 1917, the son of Alford Gad and Lucy (Crutchfield) Campbell.
Mr. Campbell was a native of Chatham County, a retired dairy farmer and a member of Sapling Ridge United Methodist Church. Welford was a member of Silk Hope Ruritan Club.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Love Campbell.
He is survived by one son, Keith Campbell and wife, Carolyn, of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; two daughters, Janice C. Dixon and husband, Billy, of Siler City, N.C.; Shelby C. McLaurin and husband, Clinton, of Siler City, N.C.; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, N.C.

condolences to you all once more and so soon after clintons father. sorry we dont keep in touch but our feelings and prayers will always be there. we are not in gboro until march. hope to see ya then. love to you and your family
