Charles Brindley Obituary

Charles Wesley Brindley
Murrells Inlet
Charles Wesley Brindley was born in Yonkers, NY April 8, 1945 and entered into the peace of God on June 10, 2012.
Charles was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Mildred nee Taggart; his beloved great aunts and uncles, Margaret and Harry Johnson and Lottie and Jim O'Leary; his father-in-law, Thomas McGarry; beloved mother-in-law, Eleanor McGarry and his brother-in-law, William Geoghan.
Charles was a graphic artist with Darby Group of Companies, and a long time resident of Plainview, LI, NY before moving to Murrells Inlet, SC in July of 2007. Charlie had an unfailing sense of humor, a love of all God's creation-even those uninvited visitors that wandered onto our porch and was happiest when surrounded by family and friends-both human and animal.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret; his son and daughter-in-law Charles Wesley Jr. and Hilma Brindley of Pittsburgh; their sons, Charles Wesley III and William Declan, his daughter Maureen Siobahn Hucks and grand-daughter Eleanor Grace both of Murrells Inlet; brother-in-law and wife Thomas and Jean McGarry of Malverne, NY nephew Thomas, Jr. also of Malverne; sister-in-law, Maryellen McGarry and husband John Imperato of St. Lucie West, FL.
At Charles's request please make memorial donations in lieu of flowers to Mercy Hospice, The Prostate Cancer Foundation, Coastal Animal Rescue of Murrells Inlet, SC or to the charity of your choice.
A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 PM Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Father Bill Hearne officiating.

I worked very, very closely with Charlie for over 10 years at the Darby Group Companies.
We were great friends and shared every day's many ups and downs, with his unfailing humor and logic conquering every challenge. Oh, the laughs we shared! He was an enormous help to me, personally and professionally.
In our many discussions about God and religion, his faith was always very evident. The world will miss Charles, but we will indeed see him again, in that better place.
I send my heartfelt sympathies and love to Margaret and the family.
