William Earley Obituary

EARLEY - William Mitchell of Hempstead, NY (formerly of Garden City, NY) died suddenly on June 23, 2015 at the age of 62. Billy was the loving father of Eileen, William, Martin, Evan, Jennie, and Kelly and grandfather of two. He was the beloved son of Anthony and Jean Earley and cherished brother of Anthony Jr. (Sarah), Ellen Ashby, Jeanne Appelt, Mary Klotman (Paul) and James (Doi). Uncle Big Bill is survived by an extended family of relatives who adored him. Bill was a proud graduate of Chaminade High School, NY University (BA) and the University of Notre Dame (MBA). His career was in the finance industry, most recently with Commerz Bank. He was a gifted athlete whether on the basketball court, tennis court, golf course or paddle tennis platform and will be remembered for his kind heart and great humor. Visitation Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Fairchild Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 1201 Franklin Ave., Garden City, NY. Mass Monday l0am at St. Joseph's R.C. Church Garden City, NY. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY. In lieu of flowers donations to your charity of choice or to the University of Notre Dame (South Bend, Indiana) Anthony F. Earley '47 family scholarship fund.
