Naomi Snorton Finch, 85, a native of Sebree, Ky., passed away May 1, 2017, at Creekwood Place Nursing Home in Russellville, Ky.
She was born Oct. 18, 1930, the daughter of the late Curry C. Snorton and Virginia Cole Snorton. Naomi was married to James Howard Finch, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of Selectman Chapel AME Zion, where she previously served in the church as a church secretary, treasurer, and deaconess. Naomi was a seamstress at the Auburn Hosiery Mill in Adairville. She was a member of the Homemakers Club. In her spare time she enjoyed planting and growing flowers. Mrs. Finch loved flowers.She is survived by her children, Danny Finch, Tony (Carolyn) Finch, Bettye Benton and Janet (Nathaniel) Miles; her siblings, Marvin Snorton, Ruth Washington and Betty Joe (Henry) Dickerson; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 5 at 1 p.m. at the Selectman Chapel AME Zion Church in Adairville with Rev. Glenda McCoy officiating. Burial will be held in the Maple Lawn Cemetery in Adairville. Visitation will be held at the church Friday, May 5 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.
