Virginia Belle "Ginger" (Cochran) McKenzie Obituary
Virginia "Ginger" Belle Cochran McKenzie

Born: Jan. 21, 1936, Pickens County, Georgia (Talking Rock)

Died: Oct. 28, 2019, Sedgwick County, Kansas (Park City/Wichita)

Ginger was born and raised in Pickens County, Georgia, to Luther Dunn Cochran, and Clara Ophelia Cochran, nee` Young. After living in Atlanta, GA, Charleston, SC, and various places in England and Scotland, Ginger and her husband William "Bill" Martin McKenzie, a British "Renaissance Man", and retired Royal Navy Chief Petty Officer, relocated to Panama City Beach in 1983, where he became known as "Captain Bill", with Ginger as his assistant and booking agent in the operation of several charter fishing boats, as well as the owners of McKenzie Marine Maintenance for more than 25 years.

Ginger's love for the truth of the Word of God was apparent to all who knew her. Her last responses were in thanksgiving to her Shepherd who had faithfully carried her and loved her to the end.

Ginger is survived by her husband; one sister; two daughters, and sons-in-law; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
