SOUDERTON - Mary Jean Campbell, 76, passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021, at The Community at Rockhill, Healthcare Center.
She was born Aug. 30, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland, a daughter of the late Walter and Rita Leshinskie. After birth, her family moved to Shamokin, where she spent her childhood.
Jean loved her family. She planed the annual family reunions at Knoebel's. She was on the Board of Trustees at Montgomery County Community College, a member of the Indian Valley Women's Club and started the regional Blue Star Mothers, was a den mother and volunteered with the Red Cross and enjoyed canning the summer harvest.
She enjoyed attending concerts, playing board games and pinochle, smoking a cigar and having a beer with the boys, and, of course, spoiling her grandchildren. She was a super mom, who loved us, supported us and enjoyed her life. We are going to miss her immensely.
Jean is survived by her children Michelle Ragghianti, Steven Stefanowicz, Jason Stefanowicz, Luke Stefanowicz; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; siblings Ann Arnold, Stephen Leshinskie, Paul Leshinskie, Patricia Sweeney, Bonita McGarry, Maryclaire Warwick and W. Jay Leshinskie; lifelong friend Val Stefanowicz. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jim Campbell.
CAMPBELL - Mary Jean Campbell, 76, of Souderton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Friday at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 1601 Derstine Road, Hatfield, where the family will greet guests from 10 to 11:45 a.m. Interment will take place in Trinity Cemetery of Telford. I am so sorry to learn of the loss of Jeannie Leshinski Campbell. I had tried looking her up a couple of years ago when she no longer posted on Facebook. I just found this trying to look for her for our upcoming 60th reunion. Jean was always helpful and active for our reunions. Please accept my condolences
