MERCED, Calif. - Bernice A. (Woznicki) Rumin, 92, passed away Sunday, Dec. 13, 2020, with her son and family at her side.
Bernice was born Sept. 12, 1928, in Mount Carmel, a daughter of Frank and Anna (Povaser) Woznicki and her forever mother, Victoria (Grybos) Woznicki.
She grew up in Mount Carmel and moved to California after marrying Clem A. Rumin, a Centralia native, who preceded her in death.
She had a long career working for Pacific Telephone as a traffic manager in the long-distance Merced office. After retiring, Bernice traveled to many different countries, but her favorite was her trip to the Holy Land.
She is survived by her son, Mark C. (Julie) Rumin; a grandson, Mark C. (Alexandra) Rumin II; three sisters, Virginia Woznicki, of Mount Carmel, Maxine Schetroma, of Elysburg, and Marie (Ned) Wagner, of Bloomsburg; and numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Francis (Helen) Woznicki; two sisters, Agnes (Edward) Koblinski and Sylvia (Melvin) Hamolia; a brother-in-law, Kenneth Schetroma; and a beloved nephew, Joseph Schetroma.
