MOUNT CARMEL - Joseph F. Pupo, 80 of 48 S. Market St., passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, at the Specialty Select Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center, in Danville.
He was born in Kaiser, Jan. 24, 1941, a son of the late Felix and Julia V. (Bressi) Pupo.
Joe was a 1959 graduate of Catholic High School, in Mount Carmel.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Joe was married Aug. 29, 1964, in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, to Jane (Wisdo) Pupo, who survives.
He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service where he was a postmaster.
Joe was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Knights of Columbus Council 628, in Mount Carmel, Kulpmont American Legion Post 231 and the former Mount Carmel Elks Lodge.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Felicia McAndrew, of Mount Carmel, and Jessica Pupo, of Allentown; two grandchildren, Holly McAndrew and Corey McAndrew; two great-grandchildren, Victoria Michelle McAndrew and Lili Ann Campbell; a sister, Elizabeth Hornberger, of Mount Carmel; a brother, Anthony Pupo and his wife, Marlyn, of State College; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Maria Pupo; four sisters, Theresa Chesney, Carrie Sawicki, Mary Cioffi and Anita Dunn; and a brother, Frank Pupo.
PUPO - Joseph F. Pupo, 80 of 48 S. Market St., Mount Carmel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church with the Rev. Francis J. Karwacki, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Ralpho Township. There will be no visitation. Everyone is invited to meet for Mass at the church.
