COAL TOWNSHIP - After a lengthy illness, Mary "Shirley" (Barcavage) Noll, of 911 W. Independence St., Coal Township, was graciously taken home to our Heavenly Father on November 16, 2019, with her loving husband and children by her side.

Shirley was born on May 19, 1935, to the late Charles and Mary (Sabotchick) Barcavage. She was educated in St. Stephen's Parochial School and in the Shamokin School District.

She married James Noll on July 18, 1959 in St. Stephen Roman Catholic Church, Coal Township. Jim and Shirley celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past summer.

Shirley spent the beginning years of her marriage as a homemaker creating a home filled with love as she raised her four children. As her children grew, she began catering for Wayside Inn and then Knoebels where she continued to work for 42 years until she retired in 2018.

Surviving in addition to her husband are her daughter and son-in-law, Lori Ann and Clyde Bills of Paxinos, her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine Marie and Joseph Alexander, of Coal Township, her daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie and SFC (Ret) Edwin Bills, also of Coal Township, her son and daughter-in-law, Michael James and Joann Noll of Coal Township, her nine grandchildren Andrea, Nicole, Jason, Matthew, Angela, Elizabeth, Toni, Brianna, and David and her seven great-grandchildren Aryana, Codie, Paul, Emma, Trenton, Aliyah, Braydon, and Mariannah.

Shirley is also survived by her brother, Ronald Barcavage, his wife, Elmira, of Mount Carmel, sister-in-law, Mary Jane Barcavage, of Enola, brother-in-law, David Noll, and his wife, Barb, of Elysburg, sister-in-law, Christine Noll of Shamokin Township, sister-in-law, Rita Rae Rowe and her husband, John, of Virginia Beach, VA, sister-in-law Rhetta Kay Bland and her husband, John, of Coal Township, and brother-in-law, Frank Noll and his wife Bonnie, also of Coal Township. Shirley is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Charles "Butch" Barcavage and Jerome "Sonny" Barcavage, sisters-in-law Esther Noll, Joyce Noll, and Dixie Noll, brothers-in-law Richard Noll, George Noll, and John Noll.

NOLL - A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Hope Church, First and Chestnut Sts., Coal Township. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Steven Frenier, O.F.M., Conv., as Celebrant. Interment will follow Mass at All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Funeral services are entrusted to James Kelley Funeral Home, James F. Kelley, Director, 1001 W. Arch Street at Maple Street, Coal Township.
