KULPMONT - William Pollack, 83, of Kulpmont, passed away peacefully in his home Monday, Feb. 1, 2021.
He was born May 14, 1937, at Shamokin State General Hospital, a son of the late Adam and Nellie (Saweikis) Pollack.
He attended St. Mary's Catholic Grade School and was a 1954 graduate of Kulpmont High School.
He served with the U.S. Army from Aug. 26, 1958, to Aug. 25, 1960.
He married Maryann Pollack on Feb. 23, 1963. They were happily married for 57 years before she preceded him in death Oct. 29, 2020.
William worked at Arcos Industries LLC, in Mount Carmel, for 50 years. He was very well known at the company and was a very hardworking man.
He loved camping with his wife, Maryann. They camped for 40 years at Hemlock Acres Campground, Coburn.
William is survived by three children, a son, Joseph Pollack and his fiancée, Brenda Papp, of Sunbury; two daughters, Denise Lusher and her spouse, Jim, of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Diane Ruskuski and her spouse, Ed, of Mount Carmel; seven grandchildren, Jared Pollack, Joshua Papp, Jordan Karlovich, Brandon Lusher, Brian Lusher, Kristen Weikel and Keith Ruskuski; a great-granddaughter, Cecelia Weikel; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by Adam Pollack, Nellie Pollack, Edward Pollack, Robert Pollack, John "Jake" Pollack, and his beloved wife, Maryann Pollack.
POLLACK - William Pollack, 83, of Kulpmont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Church of the Holy Angels, Kulpmont. Interment will follow in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington. Arrangements by Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
