Staunton - Paul Wayne "Brillo" King, 69, a resident of Staunton, VA, passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Augusta Health.

A son of the late William H. King and Marguerite (Horne) King, he was born October 30, 1949 in Waynesboro, VA, and raised by his great aunt and uncle, Simon and Lorraine Birdsong.

He served his country with the U.S. Air Force.

Mr. King was a much beloved school bus driver for Augusta County, and owned and operated New Hope Grocery.

Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Vicki King of Staunton; brother, Gary Thomas and his wife Becki of Mt. Airy, GA; 2 sisters, Barbara Prewitt and her husband Mark of Roy, WA, Carolyn Bone and her husband John of Mt. Airy, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 5th in the chapel of McDow Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Russell Heinrich. The family will receive friends following the service.
