Marcia Trainor(1921-2012)

Marcia Rosebrooks Trainor, 91, died peacefully at home on Nov. 27, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on Feb. 20, 1921, and raised in Waltham, Mass., she lived a life devoted to her family and her faith.
She was married and widowed twice. After the death of her first husband, Edward, she and her young son joined her second husband, Tom, and his two boys. Together they raised a raucous brood of 10 kids - the joys of her life and the cause of many happy memories … and no doubt a few headaches along the way.
She moved to Fairbanks at the age of 85, and embraced the Alaska spirit. As she said, "The cold doesn't bother me a bit. I should have moved here years ago!" She loved Alaska and Alaska loved her. She made many dear friends here, and treasured her many friends in New England.
She loved God, classical music, dogs, walking and bird-watching. She loved a good laugh and any meal she didn't have to cook herself.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, Edward J. Babin, and Thomas F. Trainor, and her son, Thomas J. Trainor.
She is survived by her children, David J. Trainor and daughter-in-law Sandra Trainor of Ocala, Fla.; Jean Trainor, Jane F. Trainor and son-in-law Ron Ponchione of Fairbanks; Ann T. Way and son-in-law Larry Way of Burlington, Mass.; Marcia A. Trainor and son-in-law Greg Pacetti of Fairbanks; Mary M. Trainor of Cambridge, Mass; Joseph K. Trainor and partner Laurie Bisette of New Ipswich, N.H.; Chick Trainor of Nome; Charles E. Babin and daughter-in-law Anna Babin of Hobe Sound, Fla. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren number in the dozens and live across the globe.
She was a love, a goady biscuit and a honey bear, and those who knew her were blessed, indeed.
A memorial Mass will be held in her honor at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 2501 Airport Way.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks you to consider a donation to a charity, in her memory.
