In all thing Give Thanks to the Lord.
I am from India. I recently began to listen to Pastor Charles Stanley's messages for the last three weeks and I found his teachings simple and spoken with such clarity and distinctness. Last week only while browsing on Andy Stanley's ministry, I read about the sad story and demise of Pastor's wife and Andy's mother. I was just glad to read that Pastor still remained single, very unusual in the USA. I can see how the silent suffering has made the two men wrought the storm and made them such giants, also Pastor's daughter,Becky and your beloved - sister Anna Stanley who is with the Lord. All of you must have gone this terrible pain, but we can see how the whole family kept the Testimony of the Lord by His Grace and His Faithfullness. Dont you see, you all have touched our hearts and lives ... even from the farthest place in our earth - from South Asia further more south - from "Trivanrum, Kerala, India". You all have faced the trials of life, trusting God. I extend my condolences to every one in the Stanley family, especially to Pastor Stanley. God bless you all and you may rejoice even in the personal sorrow of losing a dear one may the Godd Shepherd Christ alone comfort every one in Pastor's family.

Anna and I spoke for hours about what God has prepared for His own and the experiences of those who received their promotion to Heaven. I will miss our long talks but know that her joy is now complete in the presence of her Savior forever. One day in Heaven, our conversations will continue. May all your memories be filled with peace and joy. Her expression of pride and appreciation for every person in her family was relayed during every conversation we had. We can only imagine her peace, joy, and fullness in Christ's presence now and forever. She touched the lives of many in many beautiful ways.

Having shared my teens with Andy and Beck at FBC, I can only say that I utterly respected Anna Stanley for her character, graciousness, elegance and as a great teacher of the Word. Reading the obituary makes me I wish I hadn't missed knowing her as a musician, but she surely passed along great musical talent to her kids. Heaven must feel as though it gained a queen. To Becky and Andy: You and all of the grandchildren and great-grandchild are your mom's great and wonderful legacy! I remember how you both, and all of your family, were very kind to us when we lost our own mom many years ago when we were all young. I think back to Vance Havner, when someone consoled him on the loss of his loved one, who said, "Brother, when you know where something is, it ain't lost!" This is so true, but that fact doesn't mean we feel no grief, but we really do "sorrow not as others who have no hope." One day we'll all be re-united, and until that day, may the Lord Jesus and His Great Comforter and the love of your family and friends sustain you in the midst of this and any of life's travails. God bless you both and all of your family, always! Sincerely, your friend, Tim Mebane and family

So sorry for your family's loss! Anna was a dear friend while I was a counselor at FBA during the 80's. She has remained in my heart and prayers over the years. I know that your family will miss her very much. At times like this there is such a mix of emotions, a sad-glad time. Good for her as she is in a better place, thank the Good Lord. But her gain is still your loss. Thank God there is no more sorrow or pain for her now! However, that still does not diminish the pain and grief you feel at her death. May the blessed Holy Spirit-the true Comforter-comfort your family and fill the massive void in her absence! John 14:16&27
