Beth Christine Healy, loving wife, devoted mother and dedicated teacher passed away after her valiant fight with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer at her home surrounded by closest family and friends on June 19, 2018.

Beth is survived by her husband Simon Healy, her daughter, Chloe Taylor Healy, her mother Claire Muldowney Lengefeld, her father, Henry Carl Lengefeld, her sisters Rachel Lengefeld, Kara Lengefeld, Lauren (Lengefeld) Medlin and her husband Tim and their children, Leah and Luke.

Beth was born on January 22, 1977, in Memphis, TN. After graduating from Leesville High School in Raleigh, NC she went on to graduate from Appalachian State University as a teacher. She went on to teach for over 15 years including 2 years in Africa in the country of Lesotho while in the Peace Corps.

A Funeral Mass is being planned at St. Francis of Assisi Church 11401 Leesville Rd, Raleigh, NC Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church in the Saint Mary of the Angels Chapel, where she was married, with a reception to follow in the Padua Room. Everyone is welcome to attend.

A Celebration of Beth's Life will be held on September 8th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Apple Barn in Valle Crucis, NC. During this Celebration of her life, Beth's ashes will be placed in the surrounding mountains she loved as she wished. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Chloe's college fund through GoFundMe.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Beth's primary care team at Duke Cancer Center including: Dr. Hope Uronis, Dr. Jason Webb, physicians assistant, Margot O'Neill, clinical trials nurse, Leann Hartman and her Duke Hospice team.
