Kristina Anne Coxe

March 1971 - July 15, 2018

Raleigh

Kristina Anne Coxe left us too soon when she passed away on July 15, 2018. A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, she was the daughter of David Coxe and Sarah Gaskins.

She grew up in North Raleigh, attended Millbrook High School, and graduated from East Carolina University. Kristina started her professional career in marketing, but spent most of her employed years working in various departments at North Carolina State University. She was most proud of the work she did as Assistant Director of Student Services at the NCSU School of Veterinary Medicine where she valued her time mentoring students.

In more recent years, Kristina was a heroine for her family. She was a dedicated and loving caregiver for her ailing mother, step-father and grandmother, and was an incredible source of strength for her sisters, brothers, and extended relatives during some very challenging times. Her steadfast devotion to her family despite her own physical challenges was truly admirable.

Kristina's kindness, generosity, compassion and love for others extended not only to her family, but also to all those who knew her—including animals! She was a passionate animal lover, devoted pet owner, and a favorite pet sitter to many furry friends in the local area. Those who were fortunate to have crossed paths with her are better for having known her.

Kristina's blond hair, trademark tan and sensational sense of style and flair were legendary! She was the type of person that could command a room just by walking into it. She was an avid reader, intelligent, extremely creative and fun. Her quick wit and sense of humor were infectious! Kristina had a beautiful soul, a warm and loving heart and was a loyal and thoughtful friend. Her passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of all who were blessed to have known her. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.

Kristina was preceded in death by her mother, (Sarah); her father, (David); and her stepfather, (Robert). She is survived by her brother, Michael (Robbie); sister, Ellen (Mark); brother, Scott (Victoria); sister, Susan (Steve); grandmother, Leita; nephews, Isaac and Austin, uncle, Jim (Bobbie); aunt, Elizabeth; cousins Chris and Andrea and many special family members and friends too numerous to name.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, 2:00 pm, August 18th at North Raleigh United Methodist Church—8501 Honeycutt Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615. Guests are invited to join the family immediately following the service for a reception in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to either the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina or North Raleigh United Methodist Church in her honor.

Online condolences to the family can be made at www.wakefuneral.com under Tributes.
