Sandra Ellington Bridgers


Sandra Ellington Bridgers, 60, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017 at her home. She was born February 20, 1957 in Wake County to Buxton "Buck" Gray Ellington and the late Anne Neal Ellington. Sandy retired from Wake Med as an Administrative Assistant after 30 years of service.

Memorial service 11:00 am, Friday, July 28, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545.

The family will receive relatives and friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

Surviving: husband, Richard Bridgers; son, Matthew Justin Bridgers; daughter, Jennifer Lauren Bridgers; step-son, Shane Bridgers; father, Buck Ellington; sisters: Cheryl Ellington Kelley (Don), Karen Ellington (Warren), Beverly Ellington Townsend (Mike); granddaughter, Neveah Bridgers; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to Dan and Kelly Hales for the love and support they gave to Sandy during this time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.

I am so sorry to hear about Mrs.Bridgers.She was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I know how it feels to lose your mother, recently losed both of mine,but no more suffering, no more worries, no more stress and no more tears. So sorry to hear about Sandy. We were good friend all thru Junior High and High School. She was so sweet. I know she will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
