Bert Liverance Obituary

Bert Herrick Liverance

Bert Herrick Liverance died peacefully at Carol Woods retirement community on the 25th of April 2018. He was born in Springfield Ohio on 15 October 1929, the son of Howard Jennings Liverance and Florence Baldwin Herrick.

The family moved many times during his youth, but they always called Michigan home. Bert attended Michigan State University majoring in hotel and restaurant management. The US Army took him to Korea where he served honorably.

After leaving the service he was with Stouffers Restaurants, Ohio Bell Telephone Company and Macke Food and Vending company. Bert's last move was to Chapel Hill North Carolina. In retirement, he served as a member of the vestry at Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church and volunteer with the Orange County Habitat for Humanity charity. He was recognized in 1997 as the Habitat Volunteer of the Year.

Bert was married to Mary Louise Corbett for sixty-four years. They have three children, Janice Liverance of Boulder Colorado, Bert A Liverance of Goodwood Ontario Canada, Thomas Herrick Liverance of Anchorage Alaska and four grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will take place on 15 October 2018 at Chapel of the Cross with family and friends. A remembrance could be sent to Orange County Habitat.
