Lillian Pliego Obituary
Liliana "Lillian" Pliego
Liliana "Lillian" Pliego, 74, passed away on August 31, 2018. She was the loving wife of Ralph Pliego.
Lillian, daughter of the late Arturo and Anna Fanelli, was born March 6, 1944 in Forino-Avelino, Italy. She was a devoted sister to the late "Tony" Fanelli. The family immigrated to Danbury in 1961. Lillian and Ralph married on July 6, 1963 and made their home in New Fairfield while raising two children, Angela and Lance.
Lillian worked for Imperial Electronics as a supervisor and mentor to many coworkers. Her fondest moments were times she spent in Ball Pond with her family and the families of the community. She enjoyed cooking, yardwork, the beach and being known as a "second Mom" to the neighborhood children. Lillian's happiest moments were spent with friends and family, whether in the backyard, or neighborhood trips to Rhode Island. Among her favorite places was Anthony's Lake Club in Danbury, where she enjoyed celebrating life with her brother, and her husband – boy, could they dance!
Lillian and Ralph retired to Surfside Beach, South Carolina and New Milford, CT. They also traveled and made wonderful memories with the people she loved most.
Along with Ralph, husband of 55 years, Lillian is survived by a daughter, Angela (David) Bishop of Bucyrus, Ohio, a son, Lance (Nicole) Pliego of New Milford, five grandchildren, Brittany, Brendan and Brooke Bishop, and Luke and Ryan Pliego, and two great-grandchildren, Cambria and Cameron, with a great-granddaughter expected.
