Louis J. Bogues, Jr., 79, of Danbury, husband of the late Carol Bochnia-Bogues, passed away peacefully at Village Crest Nursing Home, New Milford, on January 27, 2014.
Lou was born in Danbury, son of the late Louis J. and Anna (Ziwolkski) Bogues, Sr.
He was a graduate of Danbury High School, the former Danbury State Teachers College and the Connecticut Municipal Police Academy. He served in the US Army and went on to serve as a Danbury Police Officer until his retirement. He was longtime member of the American Legion.
He is survived by his daughter Leslie Foldy of Brookfield and son Kenneth Bogues and wife Kristin of Gilbert, AZ, his step daughter Caroline Bochnia-Driscoll and husband Rob of Brookfield, his cousin Edward L. Montesi of Brookfield and six grandchildren: Alexa and Kylie Foldy and Olivia, Samuel, Hannah and Noah Bogues.
Funeral services will be held at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call at the Green Funeral Home on Friday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
