Malcolm McLean Brodie
Malcolm McLean Brodie, 69, of Danbury, died on Monday, September 10, 2018 at Danbury Hospital.
Mr. Brodie was the husband of Carol (Bjelko) Brodie and the father of Erin Lynne Brodie.
Born in Stamford on October 5, 1948, a son of the late George and Helene (Brown) Brodie, Malcolm graduated from Danbury High School with the Class of 1966 and went on to the University of New Haven to earn a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He previously served with the U.S. Army National Guard and was employed with Torrco as a sales engineer for Commercial Heating Supply for over 32 years.
In addition to his wife Carol of forty-two years and daughter Erin Lynne of Annapolis, MD, Mr. Brodie is survived by a brother Charles Brodie, brother-in-law Gary Walters, sister-in-law Barbara Walters, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Malcolm loved family, friends, and colleagues above all else and shared his passion of American muscle cars with all who knew him.
Friends will be received Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Jowdy-Kane Funeral Home, 9-11 Granville Ave., Danbury from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon with the Rev. Samuel V. Scott of St. Joseph Church, Danbury officiating.
Interment will be private and at the direction of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Malcolm's memory may be made to the Danbury Animal Welfare Society, 147 Grassy Plain St., Bethel, CT 06801.
