Robert H. Leggett 77, of Brookfield, CT died peacefully at his home on June 13, 2018. He was the son of the late Henry and Evelyn Leggett, of Brooklyn, NY.
Bob spent his entire career with Pepsi where he rose from Purchasing Manager to Vice President with responsibilities for formula protection. His colleagues and customers will remember him for his loyalty and dedication to his profession.
Bob was a devoted parishioner of St. Joseph's Church in Brookfield where he served as Eucharistic Minister. He served as President of Catholic Charities of Danbury and also served on the boards for Immaculate High School and St. Joseph's Church. He was active in his community, serving as a director for the PLC and Sous Chef for Men in the Kitchen.
Bob was pre-deceased by his wife Maureen and sister Lynn. Robert is survived by his devoted wife Janice and his loving children Robert Leggett, of Garden City, NY, his wife Maureen and grandchildren Thomas, Brian, Patrick and Sean, daughter Mary Leggett, of Brookfield, son James Leggett of Greensboro, NC and his wife Kelly Leggett and grandchildren Declan, Robert Harrison, and Clare, son Matthew Leggett of Winston-Salem, NC. and wife Amy and grandchildren Ava and Harper, step son Thomas Scallon of Brookfield, his wife Kristen and grandchildren Hanna, Brooke, and Thomas, and Christine Lent of Brookfield and husband Michael Lent and grandchildren Grace and Colin. He is also survived by his brother-in law William Fay of Bayside NY and his niece Kathy McGinnis and nephew Brian Gill.
Family will be accepting condolences on Friday June 15, 2018 at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street Danbury, CT 06810 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Additional visitation will take place at Green Funeral Home from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on Saturday June 16, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Joseph Church, 163 Whisconier Road, Brookfield, CT 06804 on Saturday June 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 208 S. Main Street Newtown, CT 06470.
