Arthur Noehring, 93, of Brainerd, MN passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Arthur will be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd, MN. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 5:30-7:00 P.M. at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Brainerd, MN.
Arthur was born on July 20, 1925 in St. Cloud, MN to Edward and Eleanor (Gross) Noehring. He graduated from Cathedral High School in St. Cloud, MN. He then joined the Merchant Marines and later The United States Army Air Force, where he was deployed to the Pacific Theater during World War II.
Arthur returned to St. Cloud, MN and graduated from St. John's University on February 19, 1949, and completed his law degree at William Mitchell College of Law in May 1956.
Arthur married Jane Gunderson in 1953. Arthur worked for State Farm Insurance as a Claims Adjuster. The family lived in St. Paul, MN, St. Cloud, MN, St. Louis, MO, and White Bear Lake, MN before moving to Brainerd in 1973.
He was a member of the St. Francis Catholic Church and American Legion. Arthur enjoyed golfing, fishing, and spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Arthur is survived by his children, Mary Jane (Stephen) Santele of Plymouth, MN, Patricia (Denis) Montplaisir of Bismarck, ND, Michael (Mary Kay) Noehring of Lakeville, MN, John (Jill) Noehring of Bemidji, MN, Joan (David) Duffy of Chisago, MN, and James Noehring of Brainerd, MN; brothers, Jerry Noehring of St. Cloud, MN and David Noehring of Peoria, AZ; sister, Mary Anne Boos of Clearwater, FL; eighteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Jane; parents, Edward and Eleanor; and three younger sisters.
