Anne J. Damgen, 95, passed away peacefully on August 22nd in Surprise, AZ. She was a devoted and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Sister.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Army Lt. Col. Edward G. Damgen, Jr., parents, brothers & sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Robert) Clark; son, Edward (Cheryl) Damgen, III; granddaughter, Julie (Bill) Lapp; great-granddaughter, Addison Lapp; and many nieces and nephews.
Anne was born in Bloomfield, NJ. She spent most of her life traveling the World with her husband Ed, and their two children, Darlene & Edward to Army assignments in Germany, Georgia, Taiwan, California and Oregon.
In 1977 Anne and Ed purchased a New Motorhome, as Ed said, "NOW it's time to see Our Beautiful Country."
After 21 years in the San Francisco Bay Area Anne & Ed moved to Sun City, AZ, in 1978 where they made many friends with their same interests, and enjoyed 12 years of Motor-homing, and as Members of Union Hills Country Club (where Anne was an avid Bridge Player), and at St. Elizabeth Seton's Catholic Church (where Anne was a member of the Woman's Guild) in Sun City.
Funeral Service will take place at Sunland Memorial Park Mortuary (15826 N. Del Webb Boulevard, Sun City, AZ) on Wednesday, August 29th at 1:00 P.M.
Anne's love, kindness, generosity and passion for Life will live on in her family and friends forever.
The Family would like to request Memorial contributions be made to Prime Care Hospice (4225 W. Glendale Ave. #A200, Phoenix, AZ 85051) who so lovingly and caringly made Anne's final days peaceful.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sun Valley Animal Shelter (7150 N. 110th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85307), as Anne & Ed were "Truly" Lovers of all kinds of animals, especially Natasha & Meishka (Darlene & Bob's "Poochies").
