Madelyn Kay Wright, 82
CAMDEN - Madelyn Kay Wright passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at Kent General Hospital.
Mrs. Wright was born July 10, 1938 in Akron, Ohio to the late Dr. Albert Goldberg and Anna Mae Brotsky Goldberg.
She worked as a Legal Assistant and Office Manager in the Legal and Insurance Industry. Mrs. Wright served on the following boards: Board of Newcomers of Dover, Congregation Beth Shalom, and Congregation Beth Shalom Sisterhood. She was a mentor for Connecting Generations, volunteered for Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. Mrs. Wright was also a member of Hadassah. She enjoyed traveling, reading, Investment Club, shopping, needlepoint and most importantly her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by 1st husband, Earl A. Raful, 2nd husband, Jimmy Wright and brother, Lawrence J. Goldberg.
She is survived by her children, Mitchell Howard Raful of Reston, VA, Denise Miriam Holechek and her husband Patrick of Reisterstown, MD and Melinda Francine Wright and her husband Orlando of Dover; sister, Harriett Sue NewDelman; grandchildren, Kyle Holechek, Briana Wright, Brooke Holechek, Elisha (Jasmine) Wright and Zachary Wright.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 p.m., Friday March 5, 2021 at the Mikro Kodesh Beth Israel Cemetery, Baltimore, MD. Due to COVID restrictions a Zoom link will be sent to Maddie's friends and family who wish to partake in the service.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Osher Life Long Learning, 520 Dupont Avenue, Lewes, DE 19958 or Delaware Breast Coalition, 165 Commerce Way, Suite 2, Dover, DE.
