John S. 'Nuge'
Fearon, 73
CLAYTON, Del. - John S. "Nuge" Fearon passed away suddenly at home on Monday, April 19, 2021.
Born in Dover, Delaware on March 23, 1948 to John H. and Doris S. Fearon, Nuge graduated from John Bassett Moore High School in 1966. After graduation, Nuge worked at Leeds Travelwear and Clark Seed Company. In 1976, he began working for his good buddy Kenny Newberg and went on to be employed at Staats Gas Company as a propane delivery driver until he retired in 2016.
Nuge was a sentimental simple man who loved classic cars, classic rock music and the summer state of mind. He lived for the summer months and often said he was living in the wrong climate. He enjoyed many summers boating on his 32 foot Baja with Kathy, his wife of 20 years. She was his first love and his 1969 Chevy Nova was his second. He was a member of American Legion Post 14 of Smyrna.
In addition to his parents; Nuge was preceded in death by the love of his life, Katherine "Kathy" Kirkwood Fearon; and his step-son, Ian Kosky.
Nuge is survived by two stepsons, Kevin and Andrew Kosky; four step grandchildren, Logan, Kayci, Mary and Abigail. Additionally, Nuge is survived by many lifelong friends in the Smyrna-Clayton area; as well as his dear friends, Bill and Carol Shockley of Long Island, New York.
A private burial will be at St. Peters Cemetery in Smyrna, Delaware.
