Norman Mitchell Campbell, 92, a resident of Batavia, died Saturday, April 10, 2021, at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.
He was born December 24, 1928, at Vendor to Henry Calvin and Martha Jane Reddell Campbell. He married Miss Freeda Dodson on October 10, 1952, at Vendor. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and worked for many years as a plumber and electrician. He was a member of the North-Ark Church of Christ near Alpena and he enjoyed anything outdoors, including four wheeling and farming. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Billy Joe Campbell and an infant brother; and three sisters, Edith and Edath Smith and Reba Jane Lewis.
Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Freeda Campbell of Batavia; a son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Rhonda Campbell of Harrison; a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Brian Lamb of Siloam Springs; four grandchildren, Brooke Carter and Maggie Campbell, both of Harrison, Major Andrew Lamb (USAF) and his wife, Ashley, of Alexandria, Virginia and Ashton Lamb and his wife, Emily, of Charleston, South Carolina; three great-grandchildren, Kaylin and Lexi Carter, both of Harrison and Fletcher Lamb of Alexandria; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Henrietta and Marvin Hawkins of Alpena, Betty Rorie and Tom Dean of Harrison and Mary Albarado of Harrison; and other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Holt Memorial Chapel with Mr. Kevin Smith and Mr. Ashton Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Smith Cemetery at Vendor under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home.
