So many wonderful memories from SVS Hockey School at Taft. From attending camp all summer to working there as a teen . Lots of fun times with Dick and Joe too. Mr. Gag was always there for campers and workers. As a camper he helped tied my skates on a few occasions, as a worker he trusted me and taught me to be responsible. He will always remain in my memories. So sorry to hear of his passing .

My sincere condolences to Joe Gags, Dick Jr. and the entire Gagliardi family. Your dad was one of the most accomplished players, coach, teacher and administrators in CT history. I had a unique acquaintance with Dick as we both were awarded the Fred Hitt - Milt Schroeder HS Rookie of the Year award in High School Hockey. Dick in the 49-50 season playing for Hamden and myself in the 59-60 season playing for WH. I also first met your dad when he shook my hand after a game when I was the first high schooler to score a goal against his Yale Freshman team in a loss by our Westie HS team in '60. A real gentleman, motivator friend to all.
