CACCHILLO, JOHN G., SR. John G. Cacchillo, Sr., age 67, of Shelton entered into rest on Thursday, March 14, 2013 at the Griffin Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved and protective husband of Mary Ann Dziadik Cacchillo. Mr. Cacchillo was born in Derby on May 14, 1945 son of the late Peter and Ruth Forte Cacchillo and was a Shelton resident for 40 years. Mr. Cacchillo entered the Air Force in 1964 and is a veteran, serving during the Vietnam War Era. He is a graduate of the University of New Haven and Pair School of Arts. He pursued his career as a photographer both in the service and at home taking many slides and pictures of his loving family. John was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign War. Most of all, John enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a supportive and devoted husband, caring father and loving grandfather and loyal friend to all his brothers and extended family members. He is the devoted and caring father of Christopher Mark Cacchillo and the late John G. Cacchillo, Jr., brother of, Peter A. Cacchillo, Jr. (Elaine), Jerry Cacchillo (Deirdre), Robert Cacchillo (Dotty), Joseph Cacchillo and Perry Cacchillo (Joann). Mr. Cacchillo is the loving grandfather of Samuel Mark and Emily Grace Cacchillo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Monday, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church. His entombment with military honors will follow at Mt. St. Peter's Garden Mausoleum.
