Gooley, Alana D.
Alana Depew Gooley, 71, passed away on November 29, 2017. She was born on December 13, 1945 and was the beloved daughter of the late Allen and Jane Depew.
Alana is survived by her husband of 50 years Raymond J. Gooley Jr. She was the loving mother to her three children: Raymond III (Bonnie), Jason (Paula) and Alana Bridget. She was blessed to have six grandchildren: Bridget, Kylee, Raymond IV, Annie, Brynn and Bryan.
She was the older sister to her three adoring siblings: Deborah (James) Garrity, Allen (Mona) Depew and Maryjane (Scott) Henry, as well as her brother-in-law Daniel (Susan) Gooley. She was a loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, and her kind and generous spirit brought many friends into her life that she cherished dearly.
Alana graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1963. After many years at home raising her children she worked for the West Haven Board of Education for more than twenty years. She loved the Yankees, holiday traditions and traveling the world, and had the good fortune of having visited more than 30 countries.
Family and friends may visit the Keenan Funeral Home, 238 Elm St., West Haven Sunday, December 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday December 4 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Church, 600 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven. Everyone is to go directly to the church for the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery.
