Anna L. Duksa, 98, of Monterey, California, formerly of West Hartford and Madison, Connecticut died peacefully, on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Anna attended Providence Hospital, School of Nursing, Washington, D.C. where she met Walter J. Duksa, M.D. her beloved husband for over sixty years. Anna was predeceased by Walter and her son William. Anna is survived by her daughter Anne Jimenez and her husband Ramon of Salinas, California, her son Walter J. Duksa, Jr. and his wife Carol of New Britain, Connecticut, her daughter Mary Peterson and her husband Rob of Vernon, New Jersey. Anna was the loving grandmother of Kimberly Hell, Katherine Jimenez, Christina Jimenez, Kathleen Dunlap, Rebecca and Daniel Duksa, Christian Peterson and Emilie Radkovich. Anna was the great grandmother of Johann and Lukas Hell, Analina and Tula Ray Whitehead-Jimenez, Sofia Lange-Jimenez, and Gavin and Madison Dunlap. Anna's interests included painting, gardening, swimming and reading. She was a communicant for many years at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Hartford, Connecticut and instilled in her family a devotion to our Lord and the Blessed Mother. Anna had a loving respect for humanity and all of God's creatures. Family and friends are invited to call at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, CT on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 a.m., at St. Jerome Church. She will be laid to rest, with her husband, in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington.
