Fatterusso, Donald W.
Donald W. "Don" Fatterusso. We are saddened to announce that Donald William Fatterusso, age 78, of Ansonia, Connecticut has passed away at Birmingham Health Center in Derby on December 2, 2017. Born in 1939 and raised in Ansonia, Connecticut, Don was the son of the late Anthony and late Josephine (Bruno) Fatterusso. After he graduated from Ansonia High School in 1957, he attended The University of New Haven where he graduated with a Bachelors in Business Management. For 31 years, he was employed as night supervisor at Pop Fastener in Shelton, Connecticut. An avid NY Yankee fan, Don was known for his love of travel and his sense of humor. He enjoyed going to restaurants, board games and being with his family. He was predeceased by his daughter Dr. Christine Fatterusso. He is survived by his loving wife Mildred (Gillon) Fatterusso; his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Marie Hoven Phillips and Marko Hoven and his two granddaughter, Rebecca and Lara Hoven of the Netherlands. He is also survived by his three step-sons and their families; Joseph, Julie, Ian and Ryan Melewski of Barrington, NH; Thomas, Carolyn, Alex, Nick and Mallory Melewski of Alton, NH and Mark, Zoe, Christina and Casey Melewski of Bristol, CT. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. (DIRECTLY) at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive, Ansonia, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. There are no calling hours.
