Marotti, Edith
Edith Marotti, 95, of East Haven, passed away peacefully at Connecticut Hospice on Monday, November 13, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Marotti, and the daughter of the late Frank and Vincenza Esposito Diglio. Edith was the loving mother of Louis A. She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Dr. Louis Marotti, Neisha Scinto, Joseph Marotti, Matthew Marotti, Jennie Gentile, and Lisa Dennis. She also had five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Bucci of East Haven, and was predeceased by brothers, Dominic Diglio and James Diglio, and sister, Connie Sacco.
Before raising her family, she worked as a seamstress at the Strauss Adler Company in New Haven. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Vincent de Paul's Church and a member of their altar guild for many years. Her greatest pleasure was taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed cooking and being with family during the holidays.
