""Loving Mother & Grandmother""
After a lifetime of love and devotion to her family, friends and church, Efthalia ""Ethel"" (Tsetsos) Boutsioulis, 89, of Waterbury, went home to God on, November 30, 2017. She was the beloved wife of John Boutsioulis for nearly 62 years.
Ethel was born in Eptahori, Greece, on July 31, 1928, daughter of the late Nicholas and Soultana (Megas) Tsetsos. She immigrated to Waterbury with her husband John in May of 1958. She worked at the Siemon Company in Watertown from 1966 until her retirement in 1993. Along with her husband John, Efthalia was a longtime parishioner of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Waterbury, where they spent many years volunteering at the annual Greek Festival and fundraising events as well as gardening for the parish. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies Philoptochos Society and St. George Eptahorian Society.
Besides her husband, John, Ethel is survived by her children, Alex Boutsioulis and his wife Marianne of Cheshire and Joanne Bauer and her husband Scott of Madison. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Christopher and Tyler Bauer and Emi and Cassie Boutsioulis. She was predeceased by her six siblings: Theodore, Costas, Michael and Kosmas Tsetsos, Rena Velezis and Giannoula Gouleka.
Ethel's family would like to give a special thanks to the dedicated caregivers who were an important part of Ethel's life: Athena, Despina, Vicky, Donna and Alines.
Arrangements: Funeral will be held Monday, December 4, 2017, 9:00 AM at Chase Parkway Memorial, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Waterbury, for a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday evening from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. The Trisagion Service will be performed Sunday evening at 5:30 PM at the funeral home.
