Elizabeth Panaroni Obituary
Panaroni, Elizabeth
Elizabeth "Betti" Panaroni, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and truly unique soul, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital in Hanover, NH surrounded by love and faith and her devoted family.
Betti was born on September 26, 1937 at her home in Hamden, CT to Harold J. Hook and Mary A. Brandon Hook. She was predeceased by her parents and her three siblings: oldest sister Marialyce Hook; older brother Harold Hook and younger brother Richard Hook.
Betti graduated in 1955 from Hillhouse High School in New Haven, CT. Following graduation, Betti spent the next 12 years working for Connecticut Medical Service as a payment processor, eventually becoming a supervisor. Her years at CMS were fond and cherished memories that she loved to share.
In 1965, Betti married Vincent "Vinnie" F. Panaroni, Sr. Vinnie and Betti's love story began at Uncle Dave's square dance hall in Connecticut. For Vinnie, it was love at first sight of the beautiful blonde. Betti, although smitten by the handsome Italian, made him work to win her heart. Never one to back down from a challenge, Vinnie proved his worth and won his bride. In 1967, the couple welcomed their first child, Vincent F. Panaroni, Jr., followed by daughter Heidi Elizabeth in 1969. After a brief stint in Georgia, the family moved to Orange County, CA for Vinnie's expanding career in plastics. In 1973, they welcomed daughter, Melody Leigh. Betti continued to help Vinnie grow his polyurethane business before they both retired to Springfield, NH in 1993.
In addition to her husband and children, Betti is survived by Heidi's two children: grandson Joseph B. DeProspero and granddaughter Gianna M. E. Fox; Vinnie Jr.'s daughter Chloe C. S. Panaroni and her beloved son-in-law, and spouse of Melody, James L. Johnson, Jr.
