Frank A. Civitelli, Jr., 68, of Enfield, loving husband to Barbara (Schiavone) Civitelli, entered into Eternal Rest on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital. Frank was born November 5, 1949, in New Haven, CT, the son of the late Frank Sr. and Josephine (Sanna) Civitelli. He was employed for several years in the Railroad Industry as a Diesel Machinist. Frank was a huge sports fan and collector of memorabilia which opened the door for him to own his business, Rookies Plus in Florida and Yankee Gathering Place in Wallingford. Known for his love and passion of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants led to the nickname of "Yankee Fan". Frank was also a lover of animals, especially his cats, Little Girl, Nino, Bella and Goldie; his dog Shakeno, and his parakeet Yankee Boy. Frank was predeceased by a son, Albert Jasuirkowski, and a brother, Anthony Civitelli. In addition to his wife Barbara, to whom he was married 28 years, he is also survived by a daughter, Melody Espada and her husband, Angelo of Wallingford; two grandchildren, Karissa and Michael Espada; a brother, Albert Civitelli of New London; two sisters, Theresa Civitelli of VA and Carolann Byers of New London; his sister-in-law, Sallyann Cooley and her husband, John of Enfield, and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family during visiting hours on Saturday, December 9, 2017, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
