George deForest Lord

LORD, GEORGE deFOREST George deForest Lord, retired Yale English professor. The deceased died at the age of 92 at the Connecticut Hospice on March 31st. He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Edith, and his third wife, Marcia Babbidge Lord. He is survived by three other children, all by his first wife, Ruth Lord of New Haven and East Lyme: Pauline Louise Lord of East Lyme; George deF. Lord, Jr., D.C. of Athens, GA; and Henry Lord of New Haven. A memorial service will be held Sunday, August 26th 3 pm at Calvary Church, 27-33 Church St., Stonington, CT. Following the interment of the ashes, a reception will be held in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Amnesty International would be most appreciated.
