Luzzi, Irene E.
Irene E. Luzzi, 63, of New Haven, passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 27th, 2021 at CT Hospice in Branford. Irene was born January 8, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska, but spent most of her early years between Jacksonville, VT and New Haven. In her youth, she was an active International Order of Rainbow for Girls member and studied Culinary Arts at the Eli Whitney Technical High School in Hamden, (Class of '76). She married Michael S. Luzzi on August 12, 1977 and they were faithfully married for 43 years. Irene will forever be remembered for her smile, no-holds-barred attitude, love of arts & crafts, poem writing and helping people during her years of wellness. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister and friend who will be greatly missed. Irene is survived by her loving and dedicated husband Michael S. Luzzi; her daughter, Kristina V. (Luzzi) Bosland; her grandchildren, Isis, Robyn & Anthony; and her sister, brother-in-law and nephews, Cindy, Timothy, Ryan and Chad Bernard. The family of Irene E. Luzzi also wishes to extend our sincerest thanks to: Dr. Mark Siegel, MD Pulmonology & Dr. Joseph Quaranta for many dedicated years of care, along with the loving and caring staff of CT Hospice in Branford.

I went to Eli Whitney with Irene, and Mike. I have met her Mom and been to there house for dinner in New Haven many times. She was a kind, and beautiful woman. Mike deepest condolences to Mike and the family. Good night Irene RIP.

My mom Tootsie Franco use to babysit Cindy as a young child. Irene “Lee” was name we recall as daughter of Carol Lee. Our deepest condolences to her family. It has been a long time but we remember her Irene and Cindy dearly. Prayers to the family. We are so sorry for your loss.
