John Rossotto, Jr. "Junie" of Hamden died Sunday, May 13, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of sixty years to Virginia Hair Rossotto. John was born in Greenwich, CT on April 26, 1935, a son of the late John and Bettina Tessiore Rossotto, Sr. and had resided in Hamden since 1945. He owned and operated Rossotto Construction, Inc of Hamden for forty seven years, retiring in 2009. In addition to his wife, John is survived by two daughters, Suzanne Rossotto, and Lynn (Rick) Orser of Hamden, four grandchildren, Jonathan (Sarah) Orser, Blake Orser, Virginia Hally and Emily Orser, and one great granddaughter, Lillian Orser. He was predeceased by one brother, Walter Rossotto. John's family will receive realtives and friends on Tuesday (TODAY) from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m., the Rev. Timothy Meehan officiating. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven. Memorial contributions in John's name may be made to Yale New Haven Geriatric Home Visit Program, 842 Howard Ave., New Haven, CT or Masonic Home Hospice Program, 104 S. Turnpike Rd., Wallingford, CT 06492.
