JUDITH BIERWIRTH Obituary
JUDITH E BIERWIRTH- Judith E. (Johnson) Bierwirth, of New Haven, age 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Yale New Haven Hospital on August 13th, 2020. Judy was born in New Haven on March 9th, 1943 daughter of the late Lucille and William Johnson. Beloved wife of Glen Bierwirth of New Haven. Loving mother of Joseph Marcella (Linda), John Kelley (Margie), Deborah Marcella (John), Judilynn Marcella. Grandmother of Joseph Williams, Michael Macaluso (Kelly), John Marcella (Jennifer), Nick Imbraguglio, Luke Whitmore, Anthony Marcella, Marcella Deitch (Josh) and Katelynn Canestri (Dan Barcomb). Great grandmother to Gianna, Mylia, Nileah, Trinity, Aiden, Emilee and Adelynn Ivy. Loving sister of William and Beverly. A special mention to Danny Johnson. Along with Judy parents she was predeceased by two sons Norman and William, one sister Lucille "Sis", one brother Spencer, and one grandson Anthony Marcella. Judy was a happy and loving person. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family. Judy was a beautiful person inside and out who will be missed dearly by her family and friends .
A visitation will be held on Thursday August 20, 2020 at Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Avenue, from 4-8pm. Condolences may be expressed at hamdenmemorialfuneralhome.com.

Glen & family,

Thank you for all the memories you left me with since I was a kid ... always loving people that's who you were ... you were the zoom in the room always full of pep and smiles for everyone, thats how you will be remembered ... we made many of road trips and missions from GOD in our day thats for sure... and we had fun every last mile.. I will cherish every last memory of our wild antics that led us to good times and lots of fun in the sun ..

Judy I don't know what to say. I'm in shock. U were family to me & so full of life & laughter. I didn't know u were sick. I would have been there. I didn't see u often but u always had a smile. I'm sorry I wasn't there more. U r in God's arm's now & not in pain. Look down & see everyone growing, even though we would all want you here. Bring that beautiful smile & spirit to Heaven. My condolences to Glen & your family. We lost touch for a while but u always treated me like family. Love is all around you.

My grandmother, my best friend, my everything. The one person in my life who has been by my side through it all. She never once disappointed me or let me down. She had such a pure soul and was one of a kind. She brightened any room she walked into. Will be missed forever, I love you so much Gram I know you will always be here with me. Judy you lived next door to us many years ago and we adored you ( even my mom who doesn’t take to very many people) but you had this incredible light around you that people are just drawn to you thought of you so many times over the years and was so happy and excited when we reconnected on Facebook we planned to get together and sadly it didn’t end up happening I will keep you in my heart always sleep in gods arms you are an angel / My deepest sympathy to your children and your whole family my love and prayers are with you all!!
