Judith Lenzi - Magoveny, 76, formerly of North Lake Drive, Hamden, passed away peacefully at CT Hospice on Jan. 9, 2018 after a long illness. Born in New Haven, daughter of the late George and Phyllis Ruggiero Lenzi. Judy was also predeceased by the love of her life, her husband Lance Magoveny and a loving nephew George J. Lenzi ,Jr. Judy received her MA from SCSU, went on to teach in the theatre departments of SCSU and Hopkins Day School. Judy had a love for life, the theatre and had performed/directed in many productions throughout CT. Judy was also an avid traveler of many places around the world. She leaves her brother George J. Lenzi, of FL, nieces Anne Marie (Michael) Brangi of Orange and Mary Lenzi (Paul Mariani) of West Haven, grandnephews Nicholas and Michael Brangi, step-children Megan Baur, Susan Magoveny Gleason , Michael and John Magoveny, loving cousins Carol Cannon and Jocelyn Ruggiero, a beloved friend Scott Thomas and many close and devoted friends and family.
Family & friends may call at the MARESCA & SONS FUNERAL HOME 592 Chapel St. Saturday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Aedan's Church 112 Fountain St. New Haven. Private burial will take place in East Lawn Cemetery. A special thanks to the Sun Wing at Hospice. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to CT Hospice, Inc. 100 Double Beach Rd.
