Lisa Calderone-Perrelli Obituary
Calderone-Perrelli, Lisa
Lisa Calderone-Perrelli, 56, born in Brooklyn, NY to Philip and Carmela Calderone of Merrick, Long Island passed away peacefully on May 13,2018 in Guilford, CT at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with melanoma cancer. She is the wife of Frank Perrelli Jr and devoted mother of Jessica, William, James and Thomas and step-daughters, Marissa & Anna. She leaves behind her sister Joann Galley of Manhattan, NY and her brother Philip Calderone of East Marion, Long Island along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Lisa graduated from Penn State in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and then went back to school many years later to get her Masters in Creative Writing from Fairfield University. Lisa published two books, How to Raise a Family and a Career under One Roof, and The Entrepreneurial Parent. While living in Guilford for the last twelve years she worked with many on The Guilford 375th Celebration. Her love for writing lead her to write a memoir of her life for her master thesis that was eventually printed for her loved ones to remember her through her beautiful words. Lisa devoted many years of her life working as a Development Writer at Fairfield University and then on to work at the University of Bridgeport as a Web Content Manager. Lisa's creative mind helped her to develop and launch Mason's Road, a literary journal while getting her master's degree. Having her believe that every person is connected to each other, when her husband coined the phrase "who cares where we come from I come from the world" she was inspired to create icomefromtheworld.org - a literary journal with entries from people of all walks of life to share their stories. Lisa not only has a love for writing, but a love for her Family, Family Traditions, Road Trips, Broadway shows, New York City, Art, Nature and World Travel which are just as important to her as life itself.
